We are really pleased to inform you that, in accordance with the recent announcement of the Italian Government, on May 4th RUPES will reopen and fully resume manufacturing and distribution operations based in Vermezzo (Milan).

We have optimized the operation of our production units to meet the challenges of the current situation so to satisfy all the orders and request from our partners and our customer Service, management and sales staff will continue to ensure full support to our customers.

Comprehensive protocols have been put in place to ensure that there is full compliance of the safety and social distancing norms and sanitization of all products entering or departing our facility will continue as they have since the beginning of the virus outbreak.

RUPES will continue to monitor public health and government guidance on COVID-19, and will adjust operational plans as necessary as the situation evolves.

Coronavirus Update

Effective Wednesday, March 25th the Prime Minister of Italy ordered a state-wide shutdown of all non-life sustaining businesses across the Country until April 3rd.

The order includes RUPES manufacturing and distribution operation based in Milan which is now closed until further notice.

As a result, we are able to fulfill essential orders only from a logistic partner faculty. Our Sales and Customer Service team remain open to ensure full support and will be contacting customers as necessary to evaluate all open orders.

Additionally, we are continuing to implement a variety of precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our co-workers including:

Restricting all business travel by our co-workers
Implementing a remote work policy, which includes our Sales, Customer Service, Accounting and Marketing Team so please be patient as we work to handle your inquiry remotely

RUPES USA facility based in Louisville, Colorado, will continue operations on a regular schedule until further notice. Should any additional developments, governmental restrictions, or health department suggestions impact operations we will communicate those changes as soon as possible

LHR15III VS. LHR21III: How orbit sizes impact performance featuring the new BIGFOOT MARK III

Our Training Team composed of Jason Rose, our Global Training Director and Fabrizio Gagliardi, our Training Manager have scheduled this session for Monday, February 25th (duration 40 minutes).

This session will focus on how large stroke random orbital polishers have, in a short time, revolutionized the way technicians correct and finish surfaces. The BigFoot large orbit polishing technology pioneered by RUPES has forever changed the expectations for performance and capability in the polisher category, but many users don’t understand how orbit can impact cutting or finishing in both sanding and polishing operations.

In this C.O.R.E. Series Webinar the RUPES Global training team, led by Jason Rose and Fabrizio Gagliardi, will cover the various aspects of orbit, specific advantages and disadvantages, and when to choose one orbit size over another. New BigFoot Mark III tools will be featured.

This webinar is a great learning opportunity for professionals in both the detailing and body-shop industries, as well as hobbyists looking to gain a better understanding of random orbital movements. It will also be good guidance for someone trying to make a decision on which tool is right for them.

RUPES S.p.A. has announced a product recall campaign for the Skorpio E sanders manufactured from October 2018. RUPES quality control department has identified a potential electrical issue with the internal electronic control module of some of the sanders RX153A and RX156A which may create a malfunction or an electrical short circuit. Building safe and reliable products is a RUPES’s top priority, and the Company is committed to providing its customers with the highest quality power tools. Therefore, to fulfil Company’s responsibility to the customers, RUPES has decided to recall all potentially affected tools as a precaution.

Today Rupes presents a new video for the rotary polisher LH19E, which enriches the wide range of BigFoot polishers by adding another piece to the family of polishers made in Rupes.

This rotary polisher allows a deep correction of paint defects in a very short time, thanks to the high torque given by the double gear reduction.

In the video all its features and combination with its many available accessories, wool pads, foam pads, backing pads, compound and handles.

Our training team composed of Jason Rose, our Global Training Director and Fabrizio Gagliardi, our Training Manager have closed another very successful C.O.R.E. series episode taken place on May 9^th. Our trainers performed the webinar from separate locations, Jason from Louisville in Colorado and Fabrizio from Milan in Italy. In this last episode, our training team discussed our BigFoot Polishing Pads including our foam, microfibre and wool pads and ended the session by answering questions by the audience.

Rupes Sanders – More safety with minimal environmental impact

The LE-LS-LC mini sanders and the GREENTECH filter have been awarded the TNO certification for maximum safety and minimum dust dispersion for up to 8 hours use.

The LE-LS-LC mini sanders series, and the GREENTECH filter unit developed by RUPES, have been awarded the prestigious TNO certification, which certifies that the tools create the minimum dust dispersion during sanding up to eight hours. The certification had already been awarded for a limit of up to 2 hours of use, and has now been extended to 8 hours. This is thanks to improvements in the RUPES products, which have increased the level of safety and environmental respect.

The TNO (Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) is a leading independent scientific Institute, specialized in the study of tools, processes and design of the working environment in the industrial sector. The main objective of these studies is to create production processes with low environmental impact and low dust generation. TNO performance tests are mandatory in the Netherlands, and are conducted on the entire sanding system including both the tool and filter. These tests certify that levels of hazardous substances such as crystalline silica, dust and wood residues or hexavalent chromium, dispersed in the environment during use, do not exceed the maximum permitted limits.

TNO performance test results have certified that RUPES mini orbital sanders and the GREENTECH filter, fully comply with the levels established by law.

During one hour of sanding, the dust dispersed in the work environment is less than 0.2 mg/m³ (data from the operator’s inhalation area), while the maximum daily amount permitted by law in the Netherlands is 2.0 mg/m³.

This means that the RUPES sanding system allows the operator to sand for at least eight hours continuously, safely, minimizing health risks and in full compliance with environmental regulations.

This certification was awarded thanks to the GREENTECH polyester filter, the self-suction system, and to the arrangement of the air intakes on the pads. A complete sanding system designed to guarantee minimum environmental impact and maximum efficiency.

The LE-LS-LC mini sanders are the first RUPES tools to receive such a prestigious award, and confirm RUPES’ commitment to designing not only tools but also complete sanding systems. They guarantee safer working environments, greater efficiency for the operator, with maximum respect for the environment.

New antistatic conic hose assembly

HIGHER VACUUM PERFORMANCE AND MAJOR EFFICIENCY

We have designed and produced a new antistatic conic hose assembly for both electric and pneumatic tools, available in different configurations with different diameters in inlet (25 or 29mm) and in outlet (29 or 38mm) and with two lengths, 5 or 8 meters.

With an innovative production process, RUPES has created this new hose assembly consisting of 2 hoses heat sealed to each other, one external and smaller reserved for the compressed air pipe or the electric cord, and a bigger one for vacuum and dust extraction.

HIGHER FLOW RATE

This new assembly is able to significantly enhance the vacuum performance and efficiency. Thanks to a higher internal section, flow rate and suction capacity have increased, optimizing performance of the connected dust extraction system.

CONICAL SECTION

The terminal part of the hose is conical, for better ergonomics and handling. This innovation improves the movement of the sander on work surfaces.

The conical section ensures better vacuum performances and a better handling. The flow rate has been increased in the last section, where the hose with smaller section is connected to the tool, thus increasing performances and extraction capacity.

HIGHER CONDUCTIVITY

The efficient conductivity of the material allows the hose to dissipate the electrostatic charges generated during the sanding process much more efficiently than a standard hose. This RUPES hose solution is an ideal product that can be used in potentially explosive applications.

MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY

The new design in combination with the improved materials and the conic section have increased the flexibility of the new hose assembly. Better handling and easy maneuverability in every application represent a huge benefit for the operator.
