How to finish polyester surfaces of pianos with Griffa Pianoforti

2023

Griffa e Figli Pianoforti is family owned and operated company founded in 1840 and based in Milan, Italy. For 6 generations they have been taking care of every aspect of pianos, from sale and rental to service and maintenance. They started using RUPES more than 20 years ago and since then they only rely on our products to achieve the perfect finish on the polyester surfaces of their musical instruments.

RUPES was contacted by our authorized distributor Morgancolor to find a solution that could assist Griffa Pianoforti in the finishing of their pianos. Polyester is a very hard and difficult to finsh material, and as the co-owner Davide Griffa says: “we have been using RUPES products for over 20 years, because they always stood up very well to the heavy-duty work required when polishing polyester surfaces. We currently use the BigFoot Polishing System that allows us to optimize the finishing process of our pianos both here at our laboratories and at customers’ homes”.

RUPES offers complete solutions more than products. From sanding to polishing, we managed to find a cycle that was perfect for Griffa and could really solve their finishing challenges on a very hard surface such as polyester. Moreover, our tools and consumables enabled them to work with very low dust and dirt, in a shorter time, allowing to be able to carry out interventions even at customers’ home with the minimum possible effort.
